Welcome to Blunn Creek Nature Preserve in Austin, Texas. This preserve is an island for plants and animals living in south Austin. Patrons have observed gray foxes, armadillos, skunks, snakes, turtles, migratory birds, hawks, falcons, and a wide variety of other native plants and animals.

The preserve is a biome - where several ecosystems meet and several 'microenvironments' are formed. Here, the Edwards Plateau meets the Post Oak Blackland Prairies and the South Texas Plants. It all makes for some very exciting discoveries.

This is the entrance along St. Edwards Drive. It looks inviting!
