TRPA funds may be used to acquire public parkland and to develop or renovate public recreation areas. The maximum grant allowable per application is $500,000 ($1 million total project). Projects should be completed within three years of approval.
Eligible types of development include ballfields, fishing and hunting facilities, picnic facilities, playgrounds, aquatic fitness, trails, camping areas, beautification, golf courses, community gardens, sports courts, cultural and exhibit facilities, recreational support facilities and renovation of recreational facilities.
Application deadlines are January 31st and July 31st each year.
